Lisolette Gilcrest is noted for her distinctly
feminine art that she calls "Romantica," which she describes as being focused less on 'the deed' and more on delicious intangibles of romance, attraction, desire and lust fighting against expectations of social restrictions, gender roles, and personal inhibitions.
From brightly coloured snapshots to neo-vintage interpretations, her Romantica is capturing a whole new angle for fans of erotica - especially those who want a story behind the love between two people.
Lisolette Gilcrest made her art world debut in 2006 and has been making the rounds in the erotic art circuit ever since. From Detroit to Chicago to Dallas to Los Angeles and abroad, Lisolette is quickly becoming one of the best known artists of erotica in the world, both internationally recognized and published.
Lisolette's career began when two of her figure pieces, "A Paragon of Symmetry" and "The Shrine" were selected to be included in The Dirty Show 7.5 Exhibit in Detroit, Michigan.
Though she generally prefers to focus on theme and concept-based art, her earliest paintings like "Fiery Dreams" and "The Eye of Pele" and some of her upcoming works will focus on the beauty of the nude body in all forms, whether male, female, transgendered, big or small...
Lisolette's latest foray with models is into the field of portraiture. Whether a modern day, historic or fantasy setting, Lisolette works to place models into various contexts and evoke emotional and profound reactions out of them - to share an intimate moment with those who view her photographs.
