"Marketing Your Erotica" Workshop by Lisolette Gilcrest
Looking to get your work published? Shown at more art exhibits? Want to sell your work to private collectors? This workshop is geared towards artists who are looking for more opportunities to show and sell their erotic works. This hour-and-a-half presentation is not intended as a technical tutorial for any medium of art. Instead the workshop will be chockfull of information and tips on these topics: composing your best portfolio, erotic art associations and societies, erotic art websites and blogs, art galleries, festivals and exhibits, submitting your work to publishers, and selling your work to collectors.
Participants should be prepared for a flurry of helpful information and resources in getting their feet planted in the field of erotica, with a brief Q & A session to follow the presentation. Participants are also encouraged to bring their existing portfolio (if they have one) for feedback and suggestions - and there will be products available for sale at the workshop!

"Pin-Up Photography Instructional" by Kristine Diven
Always wanted to shoot 1950s style pin-ups? Contemporary styled pin-up shoots? Want to work with some of the best pin-up models today? This workshop begins with a one-hour technical instructional and concludes with three hours of shooting, painting and drawing opportunities with exclusive sets designed by Studio-X. Subjects will include lighting your models, traditional pin-up poses and expressions, wardrobing and set styling for pin-up shoots and the opportunity to dialogue with pin-up models on their perspectives in shooting pin-up.
Participants should be prepared for an amazing opportunity to shoot with (or paint or draw) renowned pin-up models Mona deLux, Meridith Lorde, Sikora Kelly, and Detroit Dizzy Dames leader Lushes LaMoan, among others! "Lisolette Gilcrest Goes on National Tour For Second Year in a Row"
Miami, Florida (November 18, 2010) - The Erotic Signature "ARTundressed Tour" kicks off its national tour in Miami at Harvey's By The Bay featuring two pieces by Lisolette Gilcrest, "Cockpit" and "Hollywood." These two pieces will be hosted along with 300 other pieces of art from 120 artists from around the world, 80 of whom were also selected as a "Winning Artist" in the Erotic Signature's 2010 annual competition.
ARTundressed illustrates a variety of sensual subject matters that bring to life the essence of the exhibition itself; whether you are an art enthusiast or connoisseur; mainstream, or into alternative lifestyles, the collection of the artworks showcased is designed to literally stimulate the mind. Our goal is to awaken and heighten all of the senses; this exhibition will touch the mind, body and amorous spirit through visuals, dancing, socializing, role-playing, and interactive participation. Erotic Signature, an established and well respected organization that has been helping artists to promote and market their work to large mainstream audiences has a second scheduled stop for its Annual International Exhibition Tour ARTundressed at the World Erotic Art Museum.

"Venus Unbound" Exhibit Opens to Feature Lisolette and Seven Other Females
Plymouth, Michigan (September 7, 2010) - The Lotus Arts Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit which features a small group female photographers. The exhibit, "Venus Unbound," will open September 7th, and will run through October 23rd. The exhibit is a small group female photography show featuring the works of the following artists: Lisolette Gilcrest, Marianne Letasi, Patricia Izzo, Iris Dassault, Elayne Gross, Elaine Redmond, Beth Hoxie and Laurie Tennent.
The theme of the exhibit revolves around the female interpretation of what are considered to be the sensual aspects of life, whether they are found in nature, objects, flowers, the human form or abstraction. It will include experimental film or digital photography as well as traditional photography. It is truly open to the artists' view of venus unbound. They will be capturing sensuality in both the every day and the extraordinary.
Additionally, there will be an Artists' Reception and we invite you to come and meet the artists and enjoy complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvres at a gallery talk and reception. The Artists' Reception will be Friday, September 24th, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Lisolette Featured in Portland, Oregon's First Erotic Festival
Portland, Oregon (August 6, 2009) - In early July, five art jurors spent hours pouring over more than 250 images of art submitted from across the country, voting by anonymous balloting to curate the ErosFest NW Visual Arts Program. This exhibit represents a wide range of art, media, and subject matter and features a display of erotic art from around the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
In this first year of the ErosFest NW, the juried exhibit of 116 pieces features erotic pieces from emerging artists such as Lisolette Gilcrest, as well as beloved visionaries like invited artists Mark Gamba, Michael Bailey, Todji Kurtzman, Crystal Zingsheim, Fernando Arturo Cabrejos, Matthew Clark, Todd Leninger, David Steinberg, and Kenna Shapiro.
The ErosFest NW Visual Arts Program is committed to bringing erotic art out of the closet and into the fine art mainstream. By showcasing a variety of artists explorations of sexuality and eroticism through a juried competition, ErosFest NW hopes to provide festival visitors with an exhibition where they can examine their own feelings about the body and human sexuality. Tickets to get into the art show are $7.50 or $30.00 for a full day pass for the exhibit, workshop and festival.
The Erotic Review 2009 Photographer of the Year Anthology Released with Lisolette
Worcester, England, United Kingdom (July 1, 2009) - Even bigger than last years best-selling annual book, this year's Erotic Review Photographer of the Year anthology features 81 artists with 260 amazing erotic images of a vast array.
Among those artists is American photographer Lisolette Gilcrest, one of less than a dozen female photographers from around the world who were selected for inclusion in The Erotic Review's Photographer of the Year Prize 2009 - The Book (ISBN 978-1-904989-61-5). The book features four of Lisolette's photographs ("Gnome Liberation Front," "The Shrine," "The Matriarch" and "Crossings") and can be purchased online through Erotic Review Books for £9.99.
Lisolette made her public debut in 2006 and after just two years on the scene, Lisolette's early work was featured in a compendium released in February by Streetwise Art Publishing. However, this Erotic Review publication marks Lisolette's first feature in an anthology and first publication with an international firm.
Lisolette's Society of Erotic Art colleague and close friend Gary Mitchell was also selected for inclusion in The Erotic Review's Photographer of the Year Prize 2009 - The Book. After more than 400,000 votes were cast by those who browsed the competition website, Gary won the Reader's Prize, which was given to the photographer whose single image proved the most popular with the voting public.
Erotic Signature's ARTundressed Exhibition Features Work from Lisolette
Miami, Florida (June 4, 2009) - In the second annual exhibition of ARTundressed, the Erotic Signature will be featuring more than 300 pieces of erotica from 160 international artists. Slated to debut in Miami, the exhibition will travel to Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, then return to Miami for a Closing Reception in December 2009.
For the past three years, the Erotic Signature has held a juried competition open to artists from all over the world, publishing an annual anthology called the World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today. The third volume of this anthology will feature erotica in photography, fine art, sculpture, digital, and - new this year - mixed media. Last year the Erotic Signature crafted its signature exhibition event, ARTundressed, to give fans the opportunity to see those works from the book on display, as well as other art from the same artists featured in the anthology.
This year's ARTundressed exhibition tour features the winners from the Erotic Signatures 2009 Art Competition, including Lisolette Gilcrest. Lisolette's piece "Gnome Liberation Front" was selected to be published in the book and will be on tour in this year's show, as well as her photographs "What Would Jesus Do?" and "Snidely."
Lisolette's Society of Erotic Art colleagues A.J. Kahn, Chris Maher, Allan I. Teger, Jim Young, Dave Levingston, and Johnny Flamethrower were also selected for this year's inclusion in the anthology.
The Kinsey Institute's Juried Art Show and Permanent Collection Host Lisolette
Bloomington, Indiana (May 29, 2009) - For the first time in its history, the Kinsey Institute will be displaying the works of its annual Juried Art Show at the Indiana University School of Fine Art Gallery because the exhibition has outgrown the traditional space used at the Kinsey Institute Gallery. With 121 pieces from 110 artists, the fourth annual show was curated by Dr. Jennifer Cahn and features the work of artists from 25 states, as well as the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada.
Lisolette Gilcrest was among the artists selected to be in this year's juried show with her piece "Misses," which features a transgendered female and is part of her latest series that focuses on sexual identity. This exhibit marks Lisolette's twelfth exhibit since she made her public debut in September 2006 and the first exhibit outside of Lisolette's native Detroit, Michigan area.
Lisolette's involvement with the Kinsey Institute began in December 2008 when discussions began with Catherine Johnson-Roehr, Curator for the Institute's Art, Artifacts and Photography Collection, about including some of Lisolette's works in the permanent collection. Four of Lisolette's Limited Edition prints, "The Shrine," "Terrain (Triptych)", "What Would Jesus Do?" and "The Cuckold" are already in the permanent collection and there are several other pieces that will make their way to the collection over the coming years.

Detroit, Michigan (April 17, 2009) - In one of its last shows, ©POP Gallery will be hosting the Society of Erotic Art (formerly known as the Mid West Society of Erotic Photography) in the limited engagement "The Seduction of Art" spanning Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. With an opening reception at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with viewing until 11:00 p.m., the show concludes on Saturday with viewing hours from 1:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and a special stringed performance by Dixon at 7:00 p.m.
The show features fine art by A. Owen Layne, A.J. Kahn, Allan Teger, CKreationz, Dave Levingston, DVS, Eric Cain, Frank Piccolo, Gary Mitchell, Irakly Shanidze, Jim Young, Lisolette Gilcrest, Patricia Izzo and VATO. Gourmet edibles will be provided by Silvios and Centerella of Ann Arbor.
The Society of Erotic Art was formed to organize a consortium of the finest erotic photographers within the region of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Windsor, Ontario. Members are individually selected based on the merit of their original work and their good standing within the photographic art community.
Lisolette Gilcrest Releases Her First Book
Detroit, Michigan (March 1, 2009) - Lisolette Gilcrest's first book Expeditions: A Compendium of the Erotic Photography of Lisolette Gilcrest 2006 - 2008 (ISBN 978-1-60743-245-6) has been released by Streetwise Art Publishing. This limited edition softcover book contains 27 of Lisolette's favorite images and a lively, personal introduction by art agent A. Owen Layne.
Lisolette's work has been reviewed by art critics and the media with much acclaim. Selected works from Lisolette have previously been published in Real Detroit Weekly, Detroit's MetroMix Guide, Univers d'Artistes, and Art Nude Magazine, as well as featured in several exhibits over the past two and a half years. One gallery curator wrote of Lisolette's work: "I love the fact that she portrays pregnant, or slightly zaftig models, in sexually empowering situations. Her wit and ability to flow socially gracelessly and make it look acceptable - or erotic - is a true talent."
